From the heart of Assam, Dikom TGFOP1 delivers a complex blend of bold malt, subtle spice, cocoa undertones, and a fruity lift. Long, twisted leaves unfurl into a warming, amber cup — smooth yet vibrant. Perfect with or without milk, it captures the soul of Assam.

Grown in the esteemed Dikom Tea Estate of Assam, this fine TGFOP1 grade (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1) signifies exceptional leaf quality with abundant golden tips. Known for its robust yet balanced flavour, this grade indicates an exceptional cup: rich, smooth, complex, and mellower to brew than broken-leaf styles.

Dikom Tea Estate Details
Dikom Tea Estate sits in Upper Assam’s premium belt (Dibrugarh district), spanning over 650 ha of clonal-upgraded bushes and producing approximately 1.3 million kg annually. Its name originates from the Bodo word for “sweet water,” reflecting the estate’s famously crisp, sweet terroir. Established in the medieval era and revitalised under Rossell Tea, Dikom thrives on sustainable agriculture, clonal planting, and wildlife-friendly practices.

What TGFOP1 Means
T – Tippy: This indicates the presence of young, unopened buds (or tips) in the tea. These golden tips are packed with essential oils, giving a smoother, more aromatic brew.

G – Golden: The tips in this tea are golden in colour, which suggests high quality. The golden hue results from the oxidation of the delicate buds during processing, adding richness and complexity.

F – Flowery: This reflects a floral character in the aroma or taste of the tea, often delicate and naturally sweet. It shows that the tea has been carefully plucked and processed.

O – Orange: Historically tied to the Dutch royal House of Orange, this doesn’t refer to flavour but is a mark of prestige and fine quality. It signals that this is a high-standard black tea.

P – Pekoe: This refers to the grade of the tea leaf—typically young leaves near the bud. Pekoe is a standard term in black tea grading indicating leaf size and plucking standard.

1 – Grade 1: The “1” designates that this is the highest-quality version of the TGFOP grade. It means the leaves are whole, unbroken, and contain the best ratio of golden tips to leaf.
